I can assure you that over the past 10 years of training clients I have heard every excuse as to why somebody CAN’T do what is necessary to reach there goals.
“I don’t have time to exercise”.
“I don’t have time to prepare my meals”.
“I don’t know what is good or bad to eat and drink”.
“I’m too tired to workout”.
“I didn’t fill in my food diary because I ate badly over the last few days”.
“My friends don’t support my healthy habits and sabotage my progress”.
I could go on but I think you get the picture. Each of these excuses are actually just self imposed barriers. There are ways around any barrier and this is where accountability comes in to play.
If your excuse is that you don’t have time then MAKE TIME!!!!! I can not over emphasise this enough. Get up 20 minutes earlier than you usually do and do a 10 minute workout. Come home from work and instead of making a cup of tea and watching TV prepare your meals for the next day. Not having time is a bullshit excuse and quite frankly reaks of laziness.
If you want to achieve your goal in your health, fitness and life then you MUST be ACCOUNTABLE to that goal. Doing the bare minimum and expecting maximum results is just not going to happen. Make your health and fitness become habitual daily. Make them so ingrained into your daily routine that you can not imagine living your day to day life without doing them. That is the difference between success and failure.
Quite simply put it is the willingness to put in work and do what ever is necessary to reach your desired goal.
If you are a member of my website then you can take advantage of the “Daily Accountability” tab in the online forum. Here you can sign in each day and simply write what you have done to help you reach your goal. This can be as simple as “eating like a Saint all day” or “walked 10000 steps today”. Logging in and writing these small achievements everyday will create a habit that will force you to stay ACCOUNTABLE to your goal. If you don’t log in and write down what you’ve done that day to positively helped you accomplish your goal then you are making a DECISION to not be accountable that particular day. This should make you think twice about reaching for the biscuit tin or being lazy and not going for a workout.
Habits creat change. Consistency breeds results.
Be accountable each and every day and YOU CAN NOT FAIL!!!
Isn’t it time to make you stronger than your excuses?
